I haven’t written on this blog for quite some time now due to some busy schedules going on in my office as well as personal business. But now I am going to start writing this blog again.

The following need some simple code editing in wordpress template file (single.php)

You can now place your adsense ad code into the place where it is written “Your ad code here”. You can also change the number of paragraph after which you would like your adsense ad to appear. This can be done by replacing the number in the code $paragraphAfter= 1 with the paragraph number after which you want the ad to be seen. I sure hope this is helpful.

Solution: The problem can have many causes, but here I would like to consider it being caused by System Sleep or Hibernation setting because in the few computers that I have tested, this solution worked pretty well.

1. Go to Control Panel > Power Options
2. In the Power Schemes Tab, chose Always On for Power Schemes OR set the System standby and System hibernates to Never.

That will hopefully solve the problem. But if the problem persists, try to run a system check disc in the next startup. To do so, follow the instructions below.

1. Right click the system drive and go to Properties
2. Under Tools Tab in Error-Checking option, click Check Now.
3. Check both the check boxes and click Start.
3. Click Ok if it ask for scheduling the Error check in the next system startup.
4. In the next system start up, allow the chkdsk to run.

The above two processes solved the problem in all the systems I have tested. But if these steps don’t work, I would suggest you to install all unwanted software and then follow second step once again. Hopefully that will solve the problem. So, let’s see how it can be done. First of all, we need to make a LIST of options that can be selected from the drop down cell. To do that, write down all the options that you want to insert into another sheet and give it a Name. Confused? Check the following image and you will get it quick! You just need to Select All the options and change the text in the Excel Name Box, say we have selected A1:A4 and gave the name cat1.

Once we have given a name to our option List, we can insert it to the cell where it is required. To do that select the cells where you want to insert the Drop Down box and go to Data -> Validation in the menu bar.

The Data Validation dialog box will up. You need to select List in the Allow: field and then enter the name of the List that you have created above (cat1) after an equal to sign, just the way shown below. Click OK and there you go!!!!

Situation:

1. You have a system where Windows Vista was already present.

2. You installed Windows XP into it to make it a dual boot system.

3. Now when you boot up, only Windows XP is loaded and not the Vista .

4. You want to boot the system with the Vista OR Dual boot with both Vista and XP now. So, what to do?

Solution:

Why previously installed Vista cannot be loaded after installing XP is because When you install XP over a pre-installed Vista, the XP setup overwrites some critical files like MBR, the boot sector, the boot files, etc. So, in the next startup, the system can only locate the XP loader and nothing else. Therefore, our job now is to create a new boot loader for Windows Vista so that in the next restart, the system finds the loaders for both XP as well as Vista .

Okay, assuming that you have right now loaded XP in your system, let’s start the process:

1. Insert the Vista DVD (or the Vista backup DVD that came along with the System).

2. Open command prompt and type the following command line:

:\boot\Bootsect.exe /NT60 All

3. Next type in the following command line

:\Windows\system32\Bcdedit /create {ntldr} /d “Windows XP Professional”

4. Then run:

:\Windows\system32\Bcdedit /set {ntldr} device partition=:

:\Windows\system32\Bcdedit /set {ntldr} path \ntldr

:\Windows\system32\Bcdedit /displayorder {ntldr} /addlast

5. Restart the computer

If everything goes fine, you should get an option to load either XP or Vista now.

Alternative:

If you think command line thingy is very confusing, you can try out with EasyBCD. EasyBCD is a software that will help you easily manage your Boot Loader files. To proceed with EasyBCD, you can restart your system after STEP 2 in the above procedure. This time, your Vista will load. Then download EasyBCD and create a new boot file for your XP.
